{"job":{"jobId":2509016,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":24052,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Science (Mathematics), Dr. Pierre Youssef","description":"\n\nDescription\n\n\nThe Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate, starting February 1, 2024, to work under the supervision of Professor Pierre Youssef, on the subjects including (in no particular order):\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Functional and concentration inequalities.</li>\n<li>Mixing times of Markov chains.</li>\n<li>Random matrix theory and spectrum of random graphs.</li>\n<li>Mathematical aspects of machine learning (deep neural networks, reinforcement learning, feature selection, bias and fairness modeling, etc.)</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWhile excellent candidates with other research interest may be considered, priority will be given to candidates with experience in one or several of the above topics.\n\n\nThe probability group at New York University Abu Dhabi is rapidly growing with a weekly seminar in place. The research interests of the other faculty as well as the organized activities can be found on the <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"http://wp.nyu.edu/adsg\" rel=\"no-follow\" target=\"_blank\">Abu Dhabi Stochastics Group</a> webpage.\n\n\nThe Post-Doctoral Associate will be appointed for a duration of two years.
