The Sanctuary Programme seeks to develop positive opportunities for forcibly displaced students and academics in the UK and elsewhere, enhance understanding of forced displacement among the King’s community, and collaborate across the Higher Education sector to create systemic change. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Sanctuary Programme sits within International, Engagement & Service (IES), a new Directorate at King’s that brings together the expertise of teams engaging with communities and partners locally, nationally and globally. It provides strategic leadership for the university’s engagement at home and abroad with IES teams leading a portfolio of innovative programmes that generate and measure impact, and serve the communities we work with and for.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Sanctuary Programme Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the long-term strategy for the Sanctuary Programme through developing and planning programme outcomes, proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action. The Sanctuary Programme Manager is also responsible for collating, coordinating and communicating Sanctuary-related work that takes place across the university, and managing partnerships with key internal and external partners.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract or secondment basis for up to 12 months, with an expected start date of April / May 2024.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This is a full-time post – 100% full time equivalent. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Key responsibilities</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Director and Deputy Director of the Sanctuary Programme in delivering the long-term strategy of the Sanctuary Programme through developing and planning programme outcomes. </li>\n<li>Manage internal and external partnerships, including mapping partnership opportunities and overseeing delivery of partnership implementation plans. </li>\n<li>Lead on the communications strategy development and delivery for the Sanctuary Programme, working closely with relevant internal and external communications teams. </li>\n<li>Contribute to thought leadership and prepare presentations and papers as required. </li>\n<li>Enable philanthropy by supporting Fundraising & Supporter Development colleagues with compelling, accurate information, including supporting scholarship and fellowship recipients or those with lived experience to tell their stories. </li>\n<li>Support the Sanctuary Project Officer in the management of King’s volunteers to respond swiftly and effectively to conflict crises that impact our communities, in collaboration with King’s Volunteering. </li>\n<li>Work with a high attention to detail – building and maintaining project plans and using data as required to support the decision-making process, ensuring work is delivered on time and on budget. </li>\n<li>Develop and implement suitable programme/project monitoring and reporting. </li>\n<li>Work with the Sanctuary Operations Manager to oversee the budget for the Sanctuary Programme. </li>\n<li>Organise and lead Sanctuary Team meetings, ensuring clear agendas are set and actions are delegated to appropriate team members. </li>\n<li>Identify, raise and resolve key risks, and pinpoint issues and dependencies between projects and areas of work. </li>\n<li>Use expertise and knowledge of change management best practice to embed effective change approaches into programme activity. </li>\n<li>Provide advice and support, assist with problem solving, and improve knowledge and skills across the university. </li>\n<li>Advise on policy changes that may be required, working with the relevant specialist teams at King’s. </li>\n<li>Line manage members of the King’s Sanctuary Team as required. </li>\n<li>Manage complex information of a sensitive nature. </li>\n<li>Act as Safeguarding Lead for the Sanctuary Programme. </li>\n<li>Represent King’s College London and the Sanctuary Team by attending and speaking/presenting at internal and external meetings and events as appropriate. </li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Skills, knowledge, and experience </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Essential criteria</strong> </p>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Educated to degree level or equivalent. </li>\n<li>Programme management experience, with proven ability to manage multiple interconnected and complex projects. </li>\n<li>Evidence of developing and implementing suitable programme and/or project monitoring and reporting. </li>\n<li>Experience of working sensitively with forcibly displaced communities and knowledge of the issue of forced displacement worldwide. </li>\n<li>Evidence of building partnerships across organisational boundaries, demonstrating tact and ability to build strong working relationships in order to drive effective outcomes. </li>\n<li>Experience in developing communications strategies to support project and/or programme delivery. </li>\n<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, adapting message, style and manner as needed. </li>\n<li>Comfortable with decision making at every level and an ability to come up with creative solutions to address complex problems. </li>\n<li>Ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure and deliver projects on time and to budget. </li>\n<li>Commitment to contributing to equality, diversity and inclusion efforts. </li>\n</ol>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px;
