For tenure-track appointments, appointees are given fixed contracts for up to 7 years, with the goal of obtaining tenured appointments at the end of this period. In addition to an attractive salary and benefits package, new faculty members may be eligible for a start-up grant to initiate their independent stream of research and subsidised university accommodation.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The positions are specifically for faculty to work in the Health Systems & Behavioural Sciences Domain of SSHPH. Researchers active in one or more of the following areas of Health Promotion/Implementation Science are particularly encouraged to apply:</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Health Promotion</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Research on:\n\t<ul>\n<li>Behavioural and communication theories/models,</li>\n<li>Social, environmental, and behavioural change interventions, and</li>\n<li>Evidence-based strategies and their impact on socio-behavioural, environmental and health outcomes for various populations.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Analyses of:\n\t<ul>\n<li>Population health needs using mixed methods and appropriate statistical procedures, e.g., structural equation modelling, and</li>\n<li>Healthcare systems and policies to design health promotion interventions for the general public as well as at-risk populations. </li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Planning, implementation, evaluation, and communication of sustainable and effective programmes targeted at health promotion and/or disease prevention for the public.</li>\n<li>Development and advocacy of practices, policies, and laws that will provide supportive and enabling environments for the promotion and improvement of public health. </li>\n<li>Leveraging on structures and mobilisation of organisational, governmental and community resources to create health-promoting environments. </li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Implementation Science</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Research on attenuating implementation bottlenecks and roadblocks.</li>\n<li>Development and optimisation of implementation strategies and methods to generate sustainable improvements in healthcare and delivery systems.</li>\n<li>Promoting the systemic uptake of research findings to advance positive outcomes in clinical, organisational or policy contexts.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><b>Job Requirements</b></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><em>Requirements:</em></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Recognised Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline with strong post-doctoral research records,</li>\n<li>Track record of publishing in high-impact international peer-reviewed journals,</li>\n<li>Experienced in leading independent research studies or a component within larger research programmes,</li>\n<li>Ability to generate and maintain an independent stream of research funding,</li>\n<li>Ability to teach public health courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels,</li>\n<li>Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and</li>\n<li>Ability to work with culturally diverse populations.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><em>Responsibilities include:</em></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing an independent research agenda through extramural funding,</li>\n<li>Developing collaborative, multidisciplinary research,</li>\n<li>Curricula design and teaching, </li>\n<li>Supervision of postgraduate students advising, and</li>\n<li>Contributing to policy/community development in the field of public health.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>COVID-19 Message</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">At NUS, the health and safety of our staff and students are one of our utmost priorities, and COVID-vaccination supports our commitment to ensure the safety of our community and to make NUS as safe and welcoming as possible.
