Western Australia relies heavily on its mineral, energy, groundwater and coastal marine resources which drives strong research programs in the School focusing on scientific discovery and evidence-based management of these resources. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Making the most of the unique geology of Western Australia, the School has a well-established reputation in Archean–Proterozoic geology and geochemistry, mineral geoscience including exploration, hydrogeology, geodata analytics and basin analysis. The magnificent coastline of WA facing the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean also supports major strengths in coastal processes, physical oceanography and Antarctic geoscience.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>About the opportunity</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will contribute to the academic environment and success of the School. You will support and extend the School’s teaching, research and outreach capabilities in geoscience and more specifically in igneous petrology and geochemistry.
