This role provides technical support to the teaching and research areas in the Anatomy facilities within the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>About us</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The School of Medicine in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Surrey will be offering a 4-year, graduate-entry bachelor’s degree medical programme. The first cohort of students will start their studies in September 2024.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You’ll provide technical support to academic and research staff and Undergraduate Students during the teaching sessions & lab placements.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">We value, empower and support every member of staff to get the best out of your unique talents, so you’ll be rewarded with a generous salary, 32 days holiday PLUS Bank Holidays, pension contribution up to 12%, and a unique and vibrant working environment.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Role & Responsibilities</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You’ll be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, responsible for the dissecting room, and the associated facilities, so you’ll need to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be able to keep up with an ever-changing environment.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You’ll also need to be physically fit and able to assist with the preparation, delivery and clear up of anatomy teaching classes. You’ll need to have experience in HTA compliance, protocols and procedures and have experience of being a person designate on a HTA Anatomy licence.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Other responsibilities include:</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as the London Anatomy Office for the provision of cadavers and cadaveric parts.</li>\n<li>To lead the organisation and set up of the anatomy facility for scheduled teaching sessions and external course providers using the facility.</li>\n<li>To receive, prepare and embalm donors arriving at the facility, and prepare and process fresh frozen cadavers when required.</li>\n<li>To assist academic staff and clinical anatomy demonstrators in the creation of prosecutions for teaching purposes.</li>\n<li>To ensure human material is stored safely and dignity and respect of donors is maintained at all times.</li>\n<li>Maintaining HTA Standards applicable to all licensable activities carried out within the facility.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The role may require a significant amount of manual handling and an ability to adapt to changes in the workload at peak times.
