{"job":{"jobId":2511605,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":491,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Subject Coordinator, English and Theatre Studies & Research Principles and Practices","description":"\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><em><strong>Multiple positions</strong></em></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Job no:</strong> 0061250 & 0061251\n<strong>Location: </strong>Parkville \n<strong>Role type: </strong>Part-time (0,4 FTE); / Fixed-term until 26 July 2024\n<strong>Faculty: </strong>Arts\n<strong>School: </strong>Culture and Communication\n<strong>Salary: </strong>Level A – $80,258 -$108,906 p.a. plus 17% super</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Coordinate teaching activities such as lectures, tutorials and/or seminars for the School of Culture and Communication</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Salary packaging, subsidised health and wellbeing services, fitness and cultural clubs, Myki discounts, and a 25% discount on graduate courses to our staff and their immediate families!</strong></li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>About the Role</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The School of Culture and Communication (SCC) seeks to appoint fixed-term Subject Coordinators to coordinate and teach the following subjects as a temporary replacement for the substantive coordinators:</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/2024/subjects/engl30007\" rel=\"no-follow\" target=\"_blank\">ENGL30007 Popular Fiction</a></li>\n<li><a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/2024/subjects/arts40001/print\" rel=\"no-follow\" target=\"_blank\">ARTS40001 Research Principles and Practices Honours / </a><a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/2024/subjects/arts90032\" rel=\"no-follow\" target=\"_blank\">ARTS90032 Research Principles and Practices Graduate</a></li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Subject Coordinators report to the Head of Program and are responsible for coordinating teaching activities such as lectures, tutorials and/or seminars and teaching delivery for the subject per the Faculty’s Local Operating rules.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake subject coordination duties including the maintenance of Learning Management System (LMS) sites and subject guides.</li>\n<li>Prepare assessments in accordance with subject guidelines in the University Handbook and coordinate assessment processes, managing assessment extension requests as required.</li>\n<li>Undertake consultation with students; </li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Who We Are Looking For</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will bring excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills. Additionally, you will work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating outstanding organizational abilities, effective time management, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>You will also have:</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in teaching delivery; </li>\n<li>Experience in supervising, coaching and supporting staff and fostering an effective teaching team.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the learning orientations of a diverse student cohort, combined with the ability to apply this knowledge and understanding to create inclusive learning environments. </li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><em>This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.</em></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position</strong>.
