The University’s research priorities are addressed in two categories  “verticals” and “horizontals”  which jointly cover specific industry and sector needs, technical platforms and expertise.\n\n\nKU’s focus sectors are Clean and Renewable Energy, Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production, Water and Environment, Healthcare, Aerospace, and Supply Chain and Logistics. Research in these sectors is enhanced by our research platforms of Robotics, AI and Data Science, Information and Communication Technologies, and Advanced Materials and Manufacturing as well as Fundamental Sciences.\n\n\nPosition Overview\n\n\nKU is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist or Post-doctoral Fellow to work on a KU funded project for developing a new type of energy storage device. The aim of the project is to develop a new concept of high energy density storage and fast charging devices. The project will investigate different structures, 2D nanomaterials, and designs to optimize the energy storage density and charging speed. The physical model will be developed and the operation mechanism will be established.
