The portfolio contributes to institution-wide developments aimed at improving student learning, including the University’s approach to curriculum renewal, new thinking in pedagogy, learning and teaching analytics, eLearning, and quality assurance for learning and teaching. Its primary functions include professional learning and support for educational excellence and innovation; academic enrichment through curricular and co-curricular programs; and strategic, policy, analytics and administrative support in implementing and monitoring the University’s vision for learning and teaching.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual for the role of <b>Associate Professor (Education focused) Academic Quality and Compliance</b> to provide comprehensive insight, knowledge and academic leadership in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. This role will have a particular focus on academic quality matters in relation to Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) registration/re-registration and Federal and State Government and their Departments of Education. In this continuing role, you will play a pivotal part in mitigating risks associated with regulatory matters and ensuring the University's ongoing compliance with accreditation standards. This position holds significant importance given the expanding scope of regulatory requirements, including heightened expectations for re-registration, increased inquiries from TEQSA, and the evolving landscape of legislative frameworks such as the University Accord and Support for Students legislation. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a range of senior colleagues in the Education Portfolio and faculties and be responsible for academic oversight of a risk-based quality framework to guide the University in maintaining high standards of academic quality and compliance.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Your key responsibilities will be to:</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>provide strategic academic leadership and guidance to the University Executive, Academic Board and Faculties and Schools across the University to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of registration and re-registration processes</li>\n<li>provide academic leadership in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating a comprehensive risk-based quality framework to assess and address potential risks to accreditation and regulatory compliance</li>\n<li>monitor and analyse regulatory developments and trends to proactively identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with best academic practices and standards</li>\n<li>collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies such as TEQSA, to address inquiries and facilitate successful outcomes related to accreditation and compliance</li>\n<li>prepare reports and presentations for senior management and governing bodies to communicate the University's compliance status and risk mitigation strategies effectively</li>\n<li>lead and support academic initiatives to enhance awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements and quality assurance principles among staff and stakeholders</li>\n<li>stay abreast of emerging regulatory issues, legislative changes, and industry trends to inform academic decision-making and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><b>About you</b></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity.
