We are looking for a candidate with an MSc in bioinformatics. Your duties will involve developing an online biological database using Python, MySQL, and Java and developing a web-based front-end in PHP/HTML and deploy the database online. \n\n\nAbout you\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>2+ years of bioinformatics programming experience in an industry or academic setting.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience as a scientific programmer.</li>\n<li>Very strong in Python, JAVA, and shell in Linux environment</li>\n<li>Experience in MySQL database design and development.</li>\n<li>Experience in PHP and HTML.</li>\n<li>Knowledge in Molecular biology preferred but not essential</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nHow to apply\n\n\nInformal enquiries regarding the post should be directed to Dr. Yashwanth Subbannayya by email (<a data-mz=\"\" href=\"mailto:y.subbannayya@surrey.ac.uk\" rel=\"no-follow\">y.subbannayya@surrey.ac.uk</a>).
