You will have the opportunity to lead our new teaching programmes at Masters, Professional and undergraduate level. The successful candidate will bring a creative practice specialism that aligns immersive storytelling with film, television and/or gaming traditions. They will be able to take a leading role in our new MA Immersive Storytelling degree as well as help develop immersive pathways within our existing degrees.</p>\n<p>Candidates applying for Teaching Fellowship should have a developing record of high quality research and/or the ability to translate professional production experience in social media into a viable research plan.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will provide innovative teaching in the creative use of immersive technologies for storytelling, communications and artistic work. They will work in one of the UK’s top 20 universities and join the StoryFutures Academy programme, part of the Government’s unprecedented £133m investment in immersive technologies to make the UK a world leader in this medium. You will work closely with our partners at the National Film and Television School, with access to world leading partners and technologies ranging from Sony Interactive Entertainment to Imaginarium Studios, BBC3 and Figment Productions.</p>\n<p>You will have worked in a professional or research environment in which immersive technologies – AR, VR, XR – are deployed for creative storytelling purposes platforms with demonstrable experience of innovation in the use of such technologies. This may range from working in directing, producing, editing, game engines or other creative parts of the immersive production pipeline. </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will have technical skills, including at least one of the following in depth: Creative production management; video production for VR (interactive or linear); content and/or app development for AR; project development for mixed reality; post-production skills for VR; Coding or UX design; proficiency in Unreal or Unity.</p>\n<p>Candidates applying for the research-led Lecturer position should have the ability to translate creative and professional practice into a research context.</p>\n<p>This is a 0.5, 18 month fixed term contract, available from 1 March 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. This post is based between Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
