{"job":{"jobId":832,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":899,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Post Doctoral Research Officer, Hydration and Health","description":"\n<p><strong>Contract Type </strong>Fixed Term\n<strong>Hours </strong>Full Time\n<strong>Job Type </strong>Research\n<strong>Salary </strong>£33,797- £40,323 per annum\n<strong>Vacancy Type </strong>Academic / Research Vacancies\n<strong>Closing Date </strong>05/02/2020\n<strong>Documents </strong><a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://jobs.ljmu.ac.uk/wd/plsql/wd_portal.view_blob?p_web_site_id=4005&p_web_page_id=411406&p_type=JOBDOC&p_id=264599&p_show=N\" rel=\"no-follow\" target=\"_blank\">2883 JD Post Doc Research Officer.pdf</a>\n(PDF, 274.32kb)</p>\n<p>The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to work closely with Professor Neil Walsh and his team to act as project co-ordinator for a two-year research project investigating the influence of chronic fluid intake habits and water supplementation on health.</p>\n<p>You will be expected to take a lead role in all aspects of the programme of work, including: study design; ethical approval; the day-to-day running and administration of the research project; the implementation of interventions; assisting in the collection and interpretation of data; and the production of technical reports and manuscripts for publication.</p>\n<p>You should have completed a PhD in a relevant subject area (e.g. exercise science). Experience of conducting high quality research and publishing in high quality journals is essential. Experience of leading high-level research projects is essential, as is experience of biological sample collection (including venous blood collection), handling, storage (in accordance with GLP), biochemical analysis and an awareness of quality control techniques. Some experience of working with sponsors from industry is desirable. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise a continuously demanding workload.
